Short Term Volunteering

Read and Play with Children!

One Time: Jumpstart participates in a variety of street fairs and other popular family events in our community. Examples include the Leland Avenue Street Fair, the San Francisco Family Festival, and Dia De Los Niños. At these events, Jumpstart offers learning stations for children that build
crucial school readiness skills and flex their creativity.

Once a Month: Our family workshop series is conducted over the course of eight months at preschools, family resource centers and libraries in low income communities. The series provides an interactive experience for families to come together to discuss early literacy, child development, and fun ways to play, grow, and learn with their child. Volunteers will help families and children engage in early literacy activities.
